l had a background in the restaurant sector (as a business owner) and some experience as a marketer. At some point, I decided to learn web development, which had been at the back of my mind for years. To me, there was always something magical about being able to create experiences with code.

As I began my programming journey, I stumbled upon Mimo on the App Store, and it amazed me how easy it was to start learning to code. And Mimo proved a very valuable resource to use together with YouTube, Google, etc., and has provided me with a great experience. One thing I learned by studying coding so far is that if you repeat something enough, it will stick in your mind sooner or later.

I recently took on the job of building a website for a friend’s upcoming restaurant. And to be clear, I’ll get paid, let’s call it a junior salary, as it’s my first freelance project. You have to start somewhere, right? I’m planning to stay a freelancer, but I know how challenging that can be, so I might end up applying for jobs, too. But whatever happens, I’ll stick with coding.
